This big company has a huge campus, with buildings spread miles apart, says a pilot fish on the scene.
“Parking at the buildings is at a premium, so the company provides a shuttle bus service,” fish says. “Most of the riders are IT personnel visiting users at campus buildings.
“Over one weekend, the facilities department decided to make things more secure at one of the campus buildings by repositioning the large metal entrance gates. Each gate post was cemented into the ground eight inches inward from its former position.
“On Monday morning, the first shuttle bus arrived at the entrance, only to find the entrance was now too narrow for the bus to enter. Even folding in the exterior side mirrors, the bus was not getting through the entrance.
