Just our way of saying we missed you
This law school has five IT staffers and a weekly meeting for them, reports a pilot fish on the scene.
“I took a few days off from work, starting on the day of our weekly IT staff meeting. The time off had been approved and appropriately documented,” says fish.
“When I returned to the office, I was approached by my supervisor. ‘You missed the staff meeting last week,’ he told me.”
Fish reminds his boss that he took time off that day.
“Did I approve that time off?” boss asks.
Yes, fish confirms, you did.
“And did you tell me you would not be attending the meeting?”
Momentarily stunned, fish replies that he never attends staff meetings when he takes time off.
