Company is trying to fill an opening on its data center team, and this pilot fish is tapped to conduct the initial phone interviews.
“A few candidates looked good on paper, so we created a list of questions to be asked for comparison,” fish says. “One candidate looked really good — according to his resume, he had 15 years’ experience working in a data center.
“During the call, I asked questions about servers, network connections, cabling and so on. All of his answers trended toward the impression that he had done very little with any of the equipment.
“So I asked, ‘Your resume indicates that you worked in the data center for 15 years?’
