AWS pushes out new services at Cloud Summit
NEW YORK — Amazon Web Services continues to pile on the new features and services for its enterprise customers.
Speaking to a keynote audience in New York City today at its AWS Cloud Summit, Werner Vogels, chief technology officer and vice president of Amazon.com, said enterprises are beginning to look to the cloud not only to free up their IT staffs but to bring agility and stability to their businesses.
“By now we really know what all the benefits are of the cloud, and most of the benefits are on the business side of things,” Vogels said. “IT needs to make sure that its money is spent well and really put on specific purposes. If they take it off premise and put it to the cloud, they can do that.”
