User calls this support pilot fish, complaining that his UPS needs a new battery.

“He said it must need a battery because it kept beeping from time to time,” says fish.

“I went to his office and checked out the UPS unit for problems, and heard no alarm tone. The green light was lit and all seemed normal with the self-check on the unit. The plugs were all tight and there was no printer plugged into it.

“I told him that I would need to check the records in the service database to see when the last battery change had occurred. He followed me to my office.

“As I was looking up the record, I heard a distinctive beeping coming from an area around his waist. It seems the alarm sound had followed him all the way to my desk!
